Havering School Improvement Services
BA (Joint Hons) Philosophy, Religious Education and Psychology, PGCE (Secondary), SPLD (Dyslexia) Dip.Ed. AMBDA. Previously a Consultant Assistant Headteacher for a large MAT of primary and special schools across Peterborough, North and East London.
I have been in education for over 25 years, firstly as a secondary teacher, then leading curriculum areas as Head of Department and Faculty. Later I became a Local Authority Specialist Advisory Teacher, where I supported Inclusion and behaviour across the Primary/Secondary/Alternative provision in the borough. I am a qualified Dyslexia Advisor and assessor, and a member of the professional body, the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA).
I led a City Council contract for Kooth.com (the UK’s leading mental health platform) with XenZone and was a Specialist Study Skills tutor at a University, supporting students with Dyslexia and a range of disabilities. I have led many Inclusion/SEND/Behaviour SLA/traded contracts in both the secondary/primary/SEND sectors before joining a large Trust as a Consultant Senior Leader, with a focus on Inclusion and Safeguarding. Later becoming a Senior School Improvement Advisor and SEND area lead.
Most of my career has been spent in NE London/West Essex schools supporting Inclusive education and children from disadvantage (which is my passion!). I look forward to supporting schools to provide the best outcomes for their children.
