I have been working as SENCO since 2010. I have been working at Parklands Infants since 2003 after completing my teacher training at the school. I was in Reception for three years followed by another three years in Year 1 and finally Year 2.

I have completed the NASENCO award; this was done at the Institute of Education.

I oversee the day to day implementation of the SEN policy; I carry out performance management reviews on a group of TAs and LSAs. I have developed our own resources for workstation activities. I am implementing a new speech and language system in light of recent staff changes. I oversee the writing of IEPs and applications for a formal assessment for the EHCP process. I liaise closely with a range of outside agencies as part of my role.

I am also the EAL Co-ordinator in the school.
